Route planner — the whole holiday

List your stops in order — I'll split the driving into daily legs and suggest overnight stops along the way.

Trip settings

Only the places are needed. Everything below is optional and starts from a useful value.

2 h8 h14 h
days

Saved and shown while you navigate. Campeur does not route by them, but warns when your rig exceeds the limits of the country you enter. Weight is shown only: no country in our material sets a weight limit that binds a private rig.

How the planner works

Set how many nights you stay at each stop. I split the driving between stops into daily legs within your max driving time and suggest an overnight on the way, preferably a campsite that takes your vehicle according to OpenStreetMap. Two places out of three say nothing about it, so check the suggestion before you drive. Then the trip is totalled against your holiday length, and the route is drawn on the Map tab.

Improve the map

Every pin and road here comes from OpenStreetMap — a free, open map that anyone can edit. If an aire, campsite or dump station is missing, wrong or has closed, you can fix it, and the change flows back here at the next data update. Here's how.

! Quickest: leave a Note

  1. Open openstreetmap.org and find the spot.
  2. Click the speech-bubble icon (right toolbar) to add a Note — no account needed.
  3. Describe what's wrong or missing (e.g. "dump station here, 3 €") and post it. A local mapper picks it up.

Edit it yourself

  1. Create a free account on openstreetmap.org.
  2. Find the place, click Edit — the beginner-friendly iD editor opens in the browser.
  3. Drop a point and pick a preset: Caravan/RV Site, Campsite or Sanitary Dump Station.
  4. Fill in what you know — name, fee, capacity, opening hours, whether there's a dump station.
  5. Save with a short comment (e.g. "added aire, visited July 2026").

Useful for campers

  • Campsitetourism=camp_site
  • Dump stationamenity=sanitary_dump_station
  • Feefee=yes/no, charge=…
  • Access / barriers — a closed barrier=gate or access=private tells others whether they can drive in.

Slovakia

Cap in the app: 90 km/h.

Speed

90 km/h for a car under 3,500 kg with a trailer over 750 kg. The cap may not be exceeded even where the sign allows more: the exception in § 16 ods. 6 expressly applies only to vehicles without a trailer.

Dimensions — breaching them is not prohibited, it requires a permit

Czechia's neighbour has the same figures but an entirely different consequence. Zákon č. 106/2018 Z. z. o prevádzke vozidiel v cestnej premávke § 44 ods. 8 does not prohibit an oversized outfit — it reclassifies it:

Ak vozidlo alebo jazdná súprava svojimi rozmermi a hmotnosťami prekračuje najväčšie povolené rozmery (ďalej len „nadrozmerná doprava“) … ustanovené vykonávacím právnym predpisom podľa § 136 ods. 3 písm. d), vozidlo podlieha povoleniu na zvláštne užívanie ciest.

An oversized outfit is therefore not unlawful in itself but nadrozmerná doprava, a form of transport requiring a permit to use the road. The delegation runs via § 136 ods. 3 písm. d) bod 2, which, addressing § 44 ods. 8 specifically, gives the transport ministry the power to set najväčšie povolené rozmery a najväčšie povolené hmotnosti.

The measuring method is the most explicit of all those retrieved. § 4 ods. 1:

Najväčšie povolené rozmery vozidiel a jazdných súprav prevádzkovaných v cestnej premávke vrátane prepravovaného nákladu nemôžu prevýšiť hodnoty uvedené v odsekoch 2 až 11.

Three things in one sentence: the load counts in, there is no positive tolerance to lean on, and the equipment EU law excepts is left out. Only one other country writes out that the tolerance is zero, and it was retrieved later: Slovenia, in 3. člen (2), with the same meaning in almost the same words. In practice this means a caravan whose registration document says 2.55 has no margin left — side awnings and mirrors excepted only to the extent the EU regulation excepts them.

The caravan is category O. What that means the law does not define itself: § 3 ods. 2 písm. d) says only "kategória O – prípojné vozidlá" and ods. 4 refers the subdivision to an osobitný predpis, identified in footnote 15 as art. 4 and annex I of regulation (EU) 2018/858. Slovakia is thus the country where the chain is longest: EU regulation → zákon → vyhláška, and the figures appear only in the third link.

Method note: the Slov-Lex static version is per version, and the wrong date gives the wrong paragraph number. The address slov-lex.sk/static/SK/ZZ/2018/134/<YYYYMMDD>.html delivers the whole text as HTML — but <YYYYMMDD> must be a valid date of entry into force, otherwise 404. The first retrieval was made on the original date 20180520 and gave the right figures but the wrong reference: in the 2018 version the outfit's 18.75 lay in bod 9, in the version in force it lies in bod 11, two new bus points having been inserted before it. Each page lists its own História with every version — that list is what shows which date applies.

Zákon 106/2018 moreover has two future versions already adopted (2026-09-01 by 131/2026 Z. z. and 2026-10-01 by 77/2026 Z. z.). Both were retrieved and § 44 ods. 8 checked word for word in them: unchanged in both.
